Recording Album #4 - A Note from Steve

Thoughts on recording Album 4.

I'm enjoying being back "in the saddle" or so to speak, I enjoy it a lot more now than I have before.

My attitude towards recording has changed unbelievably since I tracked 230503, back then it was just something to kill some time & with little experience in a studio setting, I had little interest in spending large amounts of time on it, which looking back was silly, but hey we all start somewhere, the attitude & tolerance grew over the last 2 albums & I'm finding myself in pretty happy place.

This time round, I'm using every minute I have to try to create something memorable, even if a drum track isn't completed in a session, it doesn't matter too much, it's nice obviously if by the time the lights go out at the end of the night, we have a track in the bag, but it's not the be all and end all.
I think keeping the pressure off with no time limits helps a great deal.

My parts for Anubis album four are coming along nicely, there is still a long way to go before I'm finished & the chance of a tantrum or two, so far, no casualties to report.
