Bird's Robe 15th Birthday Tour - Melbourne

Max Watt's, Melbourne

We’re incredibly proud to announce the Bird’s Robe 15th Birthday Tour, taking place this December across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Over two weekends - December 5-7 and December 11-14 - we’ll be joined by an incredible lineup of artists from across the Bird’s Robe family, coming together to celebrate 15 years of independent music, collaboration and community. This is our biggest and most ambitious tour to date, and one that brings together both long-time friends and long-awaited returns. We’re also excited to present the only Australian shows of 2025 from a lineup of favourites including COG, sleepmakeswaves, Meniscus, SEIMS, Anubis and Shanghai - as well as welcome back Closure in Moscow and Toehider, both making their long-awaited return to home stages after ten months away. The shows will also feature the first Australian performances in over a decade from two iconic international acts - ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead and Caspian - both of whom have played a huge part in inspiring our label and artists over the years. The tour will also see the reunion of two influential acts from our early years: math-prog pioneers Squat Club and ambient rock outfit Grun, both performing for the first time in many years. Affectionately dubbed ‘Mikefest II’ – a nod to Bird's Robe founder Mike Solo following the fifth birthday show in 2015 – this celebration is more than a series of gigs. This is the story of how some of Australia's most unlikely underground musicians were drawn together to form a scene for artists who don't tread a conventional musical path, that would see their music shared across the globe. Fans can also look forward to exclusive merch and giveaways to meet-and-greets, complimentary food and drinks for early arrivals, and even the return of our legendary table tennis tournaments at select venues. The tour coincides with the release of the Bird’s Robe documentary series, which premiered its first episode last week. New episodes will be released fortnightly from now through to December, sharing untold stories and behind-the-scenes moments from across the last 15 years. Tickets are on sale now - we’d love to see you there.
