While so many artists are shackled to their labels and drained of creative freedom, we've always been encouraged to go wherever we wanted, and BRR have taken the leap with us.
For the last five years we have been honoured to tour with, hang with and be mentioned alongside artists, composers and musicians that are, for my money, the finest that Australia has to offer. The Bird's Robe Collective has always felt like a family, right from the day we were invited to join back in 2009, and it still does now, despite the weight it now carries. I believe that at the core, despite the huge diversity that exists within the progressive/post/art music world, we are all united by the ethos of doing it for the music and the love of creativity.
I've always said it, we're very fortunate to be Australia's least cool band on Australia's coolest record label. Thanks for your kind words, Mike.
